Sardinia

Sardinia impresses with the white beaches and the crystal clear water, fantastic conditions that are in no way inferior to the Caribbean. The island's golf courses are also fantastic and worth a trip. You don't even need to rent a car for a pure beach and golf vacation, because our houses have the beach, golf club and restaurants on site or can be reached by shuttle bus.

A seafaring through emerald green water with bays with the finest white sand: this is Sardinia.

Sardinia is located in the heart of the Mediterranean and is predominantly mountainous, but without a high summit, and impresses with its extensive natural landscape, which also offers gentle and rough features.

The sea dominating with its dazzling colors pours itself into picturesque bays and gave way to fantastic beaches. The Costa Smeralda with Porto Cervo is an example of this. Here the lovely colors of the sea combine with history, culture and the old traditions of the region and a lively, fun nightlife. Porto Cervo owes its name to his antlers; The port is the most modern tourist port of the Mediterranean. An equally renowned place is Porto Rotondo with a view of the wide Gulf of Cugnana and littered with villas and picturesque places surrounded by a wonderful nature.

If you particularly love the sea and relax, the province of Olbia Tempio offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, including Liscia Ruja, the small beaches of Punta Capriccioli, the Principe and the Romazzino beach.

If you like it sophisticated, you have a rich selection of local and discos all over the Costa Smeralda in summer, which are open until the early hours of the morning and are often visited by show biz and sports celebrities.

If you prefer to spend your free time in the mountains, you will get your money's worth on a discovery tour of the Gennargentu area, the largest mountain range of Sardinia. The area has an impressive biodiversity, which in addition to mouflon, stone eagles and Sardinian deer also includes some species threatened with extinction.

The treasures of Sardinia also include the impressive Nuraghen systems that can be found throughout the area. These unique monumental buildings testify to an ancient and still mysterious culture, which from the 15th to the 6th century BC. BC marked this area. The Nuraghen-built from large stone blocks-develop a central tower in a cone-stump form, which transmits a feeling of solidity and power.

With all simplicity, Sardinian cuisine also satisfies the most demanding palate. Fabulous dishes can be conjured up from the natural products used. The most important ingredient is wheat that is baked to the typical Carasau bread, but is also processed into the well-known Malloreddus, Culurgiones and Fregola.

You shouldn't leave the island without having eaten Porceddu beforehand, on the charcoal grille fried milk frills, which is served on cork trays with myrtle branches. Well -known fishing products are crawfish from Alghero, Bottarga from Cabras and tuna from Caloforte. In the fish dishes, pussy soup and spaghetti with seacondors are particularly noteworthy.

Sausage and cheese come from domestic production. The Pecorino Sardo (Sardinian sheep's cheese) is famous.

The best companion to all Sardinian specialties is of course the Sardinian wine. Time wines are Vermentino from the Gallura and Cannonau, for example. The myrte liqueur is also delicious.

Puglia

Apulia is in the rise! The region relies on sustainable and healthy tourism, offers historical old towns, a sensationally good cuisine, modern hotels and dream beaches! The airports are very well connected and even if it seems away on the map, once on site you can find your way around in this internationally oriented region.

Also known as "Le Puglie", this region is really versatile and rich and offers its visitors a variety of stimuli throughout the year. The coast is flat everywhere and thanks to the mild climate you can spend a pleasant beach holiday here until autumn.

The Valle d'Itria, also known as the land of trulli. Alberobello, the home of the cone-shaped trulli and landmark of Puglia, was appointed UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the area there is also Locorotondo, a picturesque place that sits on a rock ridge over a beautiful valley, the mosaic of wineries, olive groves, forests and fields is only occasionally interrupted by small white walls and trulle settlements. The old town of Locorotondo and Ostuni is also worth a visit.

There are two more old places on the coastal strip: the polignano, built on a steep cliff over the sea, is rich in grotto and natural caves; Monopoli is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in the province and is rich in old farms, villas and traces of the cave cultures.

On a level at the foot of the Salento plateau, Lecce, the Florence of the South, is one of the most interesting cities in the region, the cityscape of which goes back to the 17th century. The city experienced two special flowering times over the centuries: the Roman period and then under the Kingdom of Naples. At that time, many buildings, monuments and splendidly decorated noble residences were built, the pompous architectural style of which is referred to as the “Lecceser Baroque”.

The Apulian cuisine, which has always been considered “poor” due to its simple ingredients, offers exquisite delicacies for every palate. It is essentially based on three products: durum wheat flour, vegetables and olive oil, which in connection with meat and fish always become excellent, incomparable dishes.

The cornerstones of the regional kitchen are the handmade noodles of durum wheat flour or a mixture of hard and soft wheat flour: of the recchietelle (orecchiette)- the regional court- and the also known Strascinati, formerly an army meal, today a sought-after dish in the most expensive restaurants. Continue under the Mignuicchie, Fenescecchie, Troccoli pasta and say to 'NcannUate and Cicatadde. All of these types of pasta are still made according to the old tradition.

But it is above all the connection of pasta and vegetables that reveals unexpected surprises like Strascinati with cabbage and fried bacon; Spaghetti with green beans, tomatoes and cacioricotta. The region's vegetables are particularly high quality in Italy and is difficult to exceed in taste.

Waren who have been awarded with the seal of origin (DOP or IGT) are, among other things, altamura bread, Klementinen from the Gulf of Taranto with juicy-sweet pulp, the olives of the variety of Bella Della Daunia, which have been grown in the area of Foggia as well as the well-known wines and native olive oil, all in the respective place of origin, shaped peculiarities.

The Greek temples of Selinunte, Syracus, Agrigent and Imera or the Ancient Theater of Taormina and the Norman Cathedrals in Palermo are for those interested in history.

The exuberance and warmth of this country also season the good Sicilian cuisine.

The many starters are hearty, from the Arancini to Cazzilli to the Crispeddi from Catania. Numerous dishes use the eggplants as the main ingredient (the Caponata, the Pasta Alla Norma and the Parmigiana).

Not to forget the countless fish dishes. From couscous a là trapanese to the pasta con le sarde (pasta with sardines) to the pasta 'cca Muddica (pasta with bread crumbs and anchovis). Also, you cannot neglect the delicacies on tuna, sword fish, pike dorsch and smooth haibasis.

Finally, the Sicilian confectional art is mentioned, especially Christmas specialties in which Ricotta and marzipan prevail.

Products with protected designation of origin dop and IGT are olive oil, juicy blood oranges and sweet grapes made of Canicatti, tomatoes from Pantelleria, cactus pen and olives from Nocera del Belice, all excellent products that embody the Sicilian gastronomy and history.

Types of cheeses such as Ragusano and Pecorino or the tasty sausages such as the Salami by Sant'angelo, or the crispy baked goods such as the Pagnotta di Dittaino are other delicacies of this blessed region.

All of this is enjoyed with the excellent wines of Sicily who have a determined and strong taste such as those made of Marsala, Trapani, Belice or Vittoria.
