The capital of the Piemonte region has developed into a real insider tip for weekend trips and golf free in recent years. The places of Turin alone are worth a trip, but the places of LAGO Maggiore, the Monferrato around Asti and the Gavi wine area also make golfers beat faster. 

As the name itself says, it is a country at the foot of the mountains: On three sides, it is limited by the alpine chain, which has the highest peak and glacier in Italy.

Lago Maggiore, located between the Piedmont regions, Lombardy and Switzerland, is a water surface in which fragrant pine forests, majestic mountains and centuries -old forests are reflected.

Numerous locks, magnificent palaces and luxurious Italian gardens, evidence of the two noble families Visconti and Borromeo, which have been the history of these places for years, rise between the emerald green vegetation and the light blue sky.

The route through these artistic beauties can begin at Stresa, which is located opposite the island of Borromeo on the Piedmontian bank of the lake. The fascination of these places is closely linked to the significant cultural certificates, starting with the "Simplonstrasse", the historical connection path, about which the goods and cultural exchange of various peoples took place in a gray past.

For a century, the Simplontunnel, a railway tunnel, the Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy in the early 20th centuries, has been paving the way to Europe. 

In the province of Verbano Cusio Ossola, the cultural influence of the Valais has also left significant traces, an Alemannic ethnic group that was in the Middle Ages in these valleys and in particular shaped the local architectural style. 

Turin is a unique city in which modernity and tradition, entertainment and productivity, history and present merge.

In the province there are other lovely places such as Chieri, Pinerolo, Moncalieri as well as the numerous “Recepta” in Canavese and the castle of the Red Towers of Ivrea, which are another testimony to the glorious past of this area. 

The province of Alessandria is located in the outermost southeast of the Piemont at one point that has already proven to be strategically favorable because of the good connections to Lombardy and Liguria before ancient times. 

The area mainly consists of hills and river valleys and is dominated in the south by the lines of the Ligurian apennia. 

The region is characterized by a variety of different habitats: from the hilly country of the Monferrato with its colorful vineyards to untouched landscapes to dense chestnut, oak and beech forests.

Ovada, Acqui Terme, Casale Monferrato and Gavi are fascinating towns, the historical and artistic importance of which is reflected in the numerous monuments from various eras. 

Many gems make their stay in this area an unforgettable experience: from the Kurzentrum Acqui Terme to the internationally renowned goldsmithing art from Valenza to the Museo Dei Campionissimi in Novi Ligure, which is dedicated to cycling and in particular two unforgettable, the area associated with the area: Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo.
